There is a first time for everything, and finally – it feels like – I have started to Twit…
Actually its kind of funny, that here in Denmark 1.7 million out off the 5 million in the country is on facebook (think I read that we are the number one country – in %) and it seems like no one have startet twitting yet…
My own reason for being this late, is that I really couldn’t see the point. It seemed to simple – what could i get out of it? If just following friends, co-workers daily life – for me it didn’t seem enough.
But throwing myself out their anyway – had to see what the fuss were about – and I think I have seen the light – a reason for me to use twitter…
My first impression after being on Twitter is – if facebook is a information and social highway – Twitter is the express freeway. It´s easy to find people all over the world, which are sharing new and exciting knowledge. Yes there is a lot of updates from people twitting with other people, that I can´t use – but its fairly easy to avoid spending time on that!
Right now – as a just broken virgin twitter – I see a hell of a lot potential – just following a “problogger” – gives you easy to get information, information you did´nt know you needed or you could have speend a lot off time looking for…
Business! Do I think business can be made on Twitter – also in Denmark! I am 100% sure that a lot of business is going to be made! Two things! – SAVING MONEY – the information stream will definitely save you or your business a lot off money! MAKING MONEY – today I read about a coffee shop “CoffeeGroundz” from Huston, Texas – that locally had increased sales a lot: http://pistachioconsulting.com/twitter-to-go/ – we are not ready in Denmark to use it as J.R. Cohen, yet! – but we will be! And in the meanwhile there are money to be made by getting contacts to business all over the world!
This is my first impression – I´ve got a crush – lets see if it´s going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship!
