In the everlasting fight to get attention about a good cause online it sometimes seems as if some lines are crossed or at least stepped upon.
There’s a heated debate going on in Denmark right now about sending Iraqi refugees in Denmark back to Iraq. And without anybody claiming responsibility for it, a video has been made for the cause of getting a specific group of refugees asylum in Denmark.
One of the largest brands in Denmark , DSB (public transportation), has over the last 4 or 5 years been using the character “Harry” (a stuffed animal) in all their commercials. The commercials have been very popular and they’ve won a large number of viewer’s awards. Harry is a little dumb, but he’s an alright guy.
The video released a few days ago – and only seen by around 900 people so far – contains Harry, but here he is more than dumb: he is an asshole eating his own bogies.
The question is, if more than a few thousands are going to see the video on YouTube before DSB will take the makers to court and put an end to the misuse of their character. I guess the people who made this know it’s all wrong, when nobody seems to be taking responsibility.
Listed below is an original DSB video, the fake one (as long as it lasts) and a number of pictures from the fake one.
What’s your oppinion on the matter?
